Biography
Dr. Luke Rogers is the Vice President of Innovation and Product Development at On-Demand Pharmaceuticals (ODP), where he leads multidisciplinary teams at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Luke has played a pivotal role in transforming ODP from concept to execution, building a high-performance team of chemists, engineers, and data scientists. Luke specializes in the development of continuous manufacturing processes, drug substance and product innovation, and the integration of machine learning for process control and optimization. He is recognized for his strategic execution under pressure, ability to rapidly adapt to new technical challenges, and passion for mentoring emerging scientific talent. His leadership has not only advanced technical capabilities within the organization but also helped shape a mission-driven, collaborative culture that supports innovation from the ground up.
Prior to joining ODP, Luke was a process chemist at MIT, where he contributed to the DARPA-funded Pharmacy-on-Demand initiative, and at Merck Sharp & Dohme, where he developed early large-scale continuous processing methods. He holds a PhD in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin and completed postdoctoral research at MIT under the supervision of Prof. Klavs Jensen.
