Filip Horvath-Gerber
PhD Candidate at ICL & BASF
Biography
I have done my BSc in Chemistry at the University of Liverpool followed by a MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering at the Imperial College London. Following my master degree I have undertaken an internship in Flow Chemistry as initial part of collaboration between Imperial College London and BASF, Ludwigshafen, where I have worked on implementing laboratory Flow Chemistry setups within the Department of Insecticides in the agricultural division. After successful showcase of diazomethane chemistry and fluoro-directed ortho-methalations, I have been awarded PhD grant by BASF to pursue process development and scale-up of diazomethane chemistry at the Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof Klaus Hellgardt.
